Infrastructure Information

Below is a high-level overview of where Shodan services are located and the providers used:

  • Digital Ocean is used to host dynamic websites, APIs and store user accounts. The services are deployed to managed Kubernetes located in the coastal regions (SFO, NYC).
  • Stripe is used for monthly credit card processing. For yearly payments that include a discount we support bank transfer or checks.
  • Backblaze is used to serve the bulk data files available to enterprise customers. Data is stored in their San Jose datacenter.
  • Cloudflare is used as a CDN and to host a few static websites.
